The Cherub Choir: is comprised of children ages 3-6. The youngest of all the performing groups at St. Luke’s; it provides a basic introduction to singing and memorization. The focus of the weekly rehearsal is basic Bible songs and the learning of simple rhythmic patterns. The choir performs once a month at the 10:30 service.
The Boy/Girl Choir: is open to all youth in second through sixth grade. The focus of the weekly rehearsal is note recognition and the reading of music. As the children also rehearse each week on the handbells, the learning of rhythm is also emphasized. The choir performs monthly at the 10:30 service.
The Parish Choir: has long been recognized for its musical excellence and leadership not only to the Parish, but to the greater Salisbury/Rowan County community. The choir maintains a rigorous rehearsal and performance schedule and provides leadership at the 10:30 weekly. The choir also regularly presents concerts and choir shows throughout the year.
The Adult Handbell Choir: performs once monthly on the treasured set of Whitechapel Bells. This fun and highly energetic group rehearses each week for an hour and performs once a month during the 10:30 service.
The Amadeus Youth Chorus: is a musical outreach of St. Luke’s Church. Co-Directed by Sarah Hall and Phillip Burgess the ensemble is open to all Salisbury/Rowan Youth ages 8-18. The chorus sings several concerts during the calendar year.
